This season definitely hasn't started off as I had hoped, I have been injured since October and really haven't done any serious plyometrics since or even any technical work. Even the sprint work I have been doing has been hindered and I think that my mechanics have been suffering because I haven't been able to get full knee extension. I have been thinking as of late... maybe it's time to call the season and go into a period of complete rest so I can get an early start on the outdoor season. I really don't want to, because I had big plans for this indoor campaign but my first meet is in a little over three weeks and I still haven't even been able to bound yet. This time last year I already had two pb's under my belt and was very confident and healthy. Right now my confidence is pretty much in the gutter and I can barely remember what I full approach jump is supposed to look like.
If this knee issue persists much longer, it will be time to call it quits... I'll make my decision within the next three weeks depending how I'm feeling.
